Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 May 2026
Tendril Technologies Ltd ("Tendril", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Tendril Technologies Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17209949). This policy applies to our website at tendril.uk and, when launched, the Tendril mobile application, including for users accessing the service from the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, and United States.
1. Data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate and improve Tendril. This currently includes:
- Name and email address — when you join our early access list or contact us, you provide your name and email address. We use this to keep you informed about Tendril's development and launch.
- Usage and analytics data — we collect anonymised information about how visitors interact with our website (such as pages viewed, time on site, and general location by country). This helps us understand what is working and improve the experience. This data does not identify you personally.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, payment information, or health data at this stage.
2. How we use your data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To contact you with updates about Tendril's development and early access launch
- To respond to your enquiries or support requests
- To understand how our website is being used so we can improve it
- To comply with our legal obligations
We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for purposes unrelated to Tendril.
3. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process your data on the following legal bases:
- Consent — when you join our early access list, you consent to us storing your name and email address and contacting you about Tendril.
- Legitimate interests — anonymised analytics data is processed to improve our service, where this does not override your privacy rights.
4. Data sharing and third parties
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Tendril. These may process your data on our behalf, but only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Analytics providers — we may use a privacy-focused analytics tool to understand website usage. Any such provider is selected to minimise personal data collection.
- Email services — we may use an email delivery service to send you updates about Tendril. Your email address will be shared with this provider solely for this purpose.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Some of our service providers may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
5. Data retention
We retain your name and email address for as long as you remain on our early access list, or for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiries. You may ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 7).
Anonymised analytics data may be retained for longer periods as it cannot identify you.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmitted to and from our website.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@tendril.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
7.1 Additional rights for US residents
Residents of certain US states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others with applicable privacy laws, may have additional rights regarding their personal information. Subject to applicable law, these rights may include:
- The right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it
- The right to request access to personal information we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to request correction of inaccurate information

Tendril does not sell personal information or use personal information for targeted advertising.
To exercise any applicable privacy rights, please contact us at hello@tendril.uk.
8. Cookies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to support analytics. These are used only for anonymised usage measurement and are not used for advertising or tracking across other sites. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
9. Children's privacy
Tendril is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify early access members by email.
